SSD failed, received replacement but... os is on failed drive. How will Windows run after I swap out the drive?
I have a 17 R4 that came with a 128 SSD, which is where Windows is installed, and for some reason it was set as the default drive for everything when I purchased the computer. It filled up in a week, and 2 months after purchase it has already failed. It's covered under warranty, but, now that I have the replacement... I don't know how to go about getting Windows on either my 1TB HD or the new replacement SSD. I guess I'm not the nerd I thought I was.

You have not said which OS. I assume it is Windows 10 so just install it on your new drive. Windows 10 is tied to your computer and will be registered to it. You will need to reinstall your programs. If you can recover any of your documents then copy them across. Windows 10 Install media from here:
Download Windows 10
