SSD compatibility

I recently bought an Alienware 15 R3 2016 laptop with SATA hdd. Now i would like to add an SSD drive. I have two questions about this:

1. Would "Crucial MX200 M.2 T2280 SSD - 500GB" be compatible with my system?

2. Can i use both drives in parallel - i would like to ADD the SSD, not REPLACE the current drive.

Thanks!

Hi,

The system has 3 M.2 PCIE ports: 2 in size 2280 that will run at 4x and 1 in size 2242 that runs at 2x.

SSD dimensions: 22mm x 80mm, and yes you can use the SATA hdd and an SSD at the same time.

The Crucial MX200 M.2 T2280 SSD - 500GB is not compatible.

Thanks, although i dont see why the Crucial M.2 T2280 is not compatible: the "2280" suggests that it has the right dimension and the "M.2" also seems to be right -- what makes that it is not compatible??

edit: never mind, already figured it out
