Sound Center Update Speakers Stop Working
Hi,
I just received a notification sound center needs an update so I install and restart. No my speakers are not working. How do I fix this?

It really says a lot about dell/alienware when it tests changes in production. I have 30 days at bestbuy to return this computer. I'm returning it tomorrow.

You don't say what model.
If a recent Alienware laptop, (if you search forum) others have reported similar recently. Some fixed it by using a Windows Restore point. IIRC, others just reinstalled the proper driver.
On a personal note, I was updating my video drivers on my Aurora-R6 desktop the other day. The audio output device got reset to the un-used HDMI audio device for some reason. Easy fix, but kinda weird.
