Primary surface test failure

Hi everybody, I just bought a brand new alienware 15r3, I recently ran the "extended systems test", through dells support assist. It keeps telling me i am failing the primary surface test. I don't notice any issues while playing games interestingly, I have talked to alienware support about this and they have set me up to replace the motherboard. I recently have been doing my own research and some people have been saying, that its a "false positive". What should I do ?! Should I just get it replaced or cancel the appointment. I'm stumped on what to do....

Hi Andy718‌,

Yes, most of the times this is a false positive. Even more when you are not having any performance problems and you simply run the test to check the system in general.

But you can send me a private message with the service tag so I can review your case.

2. Also points to false-positive.

3. I would not at this point. Doesn't sound like anything is broken.
