Permanent Battery Failure

Hi there,

I was on my laptop earlier with everything working fine and realised that my battery wasn't charging above 51%.

It says it is plugged in but "not charging".

So i played around "Desktop mode battery change" to see if this solved the problem and as soon as i removed the power cord my laptop switched straight off. I plugged the power cord back in and was met with the message saying that my battery had a permanent failure and needed replacing.

My warranty ran out last month so not sure what i can do?

Any idea

Thanks

Hi shade926‌,

Make sure the BIOS is up to date. Then try running an ePSA/Diagnostic test on the system, click here to view a Dell article that explains how to run this test. But if the issue persists, you'll need to replace the battery.
