PCI, HDD fans going 100% on start up

Hello everyone.

I'm having a bit of an issue here. 2 days ago, whilst booting up my PC both the PCI and HDD fans instantly went to 100% on start up. The only way I can slow these fans down is with ACC thermal controls, which gets the fan speeds to 55%. I have never had these problems since owning this PC (7 years now).

I've been trying to find a solution but I can't seem to find any. I've found this post about people with the same issues, but with no answer how to fix it:

https://na.alienwarearena.com/ucf/show/246492/boards/technical-support-1/ForumPost/alien-tech-support-aurora-r4-windows-…

System specs:

Alienware Aurora 2010

BIOS A11

ACC version 2.8.9.0

Hopefully someone here can help me out!

See this thread for Aurora-R1 Command-Center and MIO-Board troubleshooting. Read carefully.

IMO, an occasional unusual startup like that is not really cause for alarm.

Not sure what Alienware you own, but even if it's one of the older full-sized desktops ... Alienware Command Center and Thermal Controller does (just barely) work properly on Windows-10/64bit. Yes, the thread you mentioned, or this one:

Alienware Aurora-R1 - Windows-10 Pro Upgrade - Smooth sailing so far.   <-- For Aurora R1/R2 or Area51-R1 use AWCC v2.8.11.0

If Aurora R3 or R4, you likely will be using a different (slightly newer) version of Command Center for Desktops (latest Win8 or Win10 Dell validated one specified for your particular model at http://support.dell.com ... maybe specified Win-8 or even Win-10 compatible).
