Intel optane on a R6
I bought an Aurora R6 with 16GB RAM and 2TB hard disk and I want to add an optane memory stick. What are the recommendations/requirements I need to look first and will it fit into the motherboard? Thanks in advance.

Hi mrsrilanka.
you need atleast:
Kaby Lake (7XXX) CPU
Intel 2XX Chipset
Optane Capable BIOS
M2 PCIe x 2 Slot
Windows 10 x 64
the Technology is a Joke TBH. if you want Speed then get an M2 SSD. small Samsung 960 Evo does a much better Job.
a Bit off Topic. since you don't have an M2 SSD installed, could you download GPU-Z and post a Screenshot Please? i'd like to know if your Card is running in PCIe x 16 Mode or not.

you have the required Hardware. the only Problem could be BIOS. Intel claims that Optane is Plug & Play but it is not. most of the Time you need a BIOS Update and i don't know if Dell / AW updated their BIOS or not.
Thank You for your Screenshots including GPU-Z.
