I ran the dell ePSA utility and received 2000-0261 error. The memory dimms were checked again and they passed. The motherboard failed. I need to buy a new motherboard and the system is out of warranty. Can somebody please tell me what the part number for

At first I thought the video card was bad.

Symptoms were on power on during POST I saw white vertical lines (many) flickering

on laptop display.

When operating system loaded the laptop screen went dark. Hooking up an external monitor showed fine.

The system was configured as follows:

-BIOS version A12

-OS Win 10

-Video card NVidia 680M, 2Gb.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Attached external monitor to verify if video card was intact or only laptop display broken. External display worked.

2. Tried BIOS versions 9, 10, 11, 12 with same results

3. Ran ePSA  F12 boot diagnostics on Video card and it passed

4. Ran ePSA  F12 boot diagnostics on motherboard and it passed

5. Ran ePSA  F12 boot diagnostics on memory it failed advanced diagnostics deep scan on jdimm 2 slot 4. I replaced both dimms in slots 3 and 4, then reran the diagnostics. DIMMs were fixed but received error 2000-0261 which says to check BIOS version, re seat memory, or motherboard is bad.

6. Windows 10 memory diagnostics shows DIMMs as good

Seems only wrong now is 2000-0261 error code points at faulty motherboard.

Does any one know what the part number is for a Dell Alienware m17x R4 motherboard is?

Please comment if you know..thanks
