I need help iTunes version 12.6.2.20 on my Alienware 17r4 won't play. Keep getting this window pop up "WiTunesAlienFXPlugin.dll" could not load in 64 bit mode. Try contacting the vendor(s) to see if a 64-bit version is available. How can I fix this?
Is there a fix for this 64-bit plug in error so that iTunes will play?

Common problem since iTunes switched to 64bit long ago (like most relevant programs are these days).
It's been reported to Alienware Engineering many times over the years. Sad it's still not fixed in the latest version of Command Center (where that Plug-In is distributed from).

Uninstall Itunes and download the 32 bit version
Download iTunes 12.1.3 for Windows (32 bit)

Right, but I don't think giving-up the advantages of 64-bit iTunes is worth getting this one visualizer to work.
It also says "Please contact the developer for an updated visualizer that is compatible with iTunes 12.1 or later". The "developer" is Dell/Alienware Engineering.
Since 2009, Alienware Command Center has only shipped on 64-bit Windows ... that's all Dell/Alienware has ever pre-installed. In fact, Dell has said many times that 32-bit drivers are not available for any of their machines, because 32-bit Windows is not supported on their hardware.
Most parts of AW-CC are apparently correctly running in 64-bit mode (if they are required to for proper operation).
Nice find speedstep . At least the Windows software team at Apple acknowledges the problem (but it's out-of-their-hands).

Until Dell fixes this the ONLY solution is to UNINSTALL Itunes and install the 32 bit version.
