Enable Alienware AlienFX option not there anymore and lights doing odd things
Ok I've had this particular system for a LONG time (its an Aurora ALX) with no real issues.
Yesterday the power went out in my house and when the system came back on, the light pattern was wrong and a message came up saying 3rd Party's could still affect the lights, but that Alien FX was disabled. It said I should "Enable Alienware AlienFX" to use it.
But if I right click on the icon, that option is not there. You can see in the attached image.
I did run a software update so its now version 2.8.9.0, but still acting the same way.

What version of Windows are you running on your Aurora-R1?
What is you current motherboard BIOS version? I run A09 on mine.
Try shutting down properly, un-plugging from AC-Power, and press Power Button a few times to dissipate all "flea power" from motherboard and MIO-Board.
You can also try running Dell Diagnostics.
