Did I get everything I was supposed to get with my Aurora R5? And is my Power supply fan supposed to be idle?

I ordered the I7 6700 processor with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, involving the basic 460 Watt power supply (currently sells for $1449.99).

I noticed my desktop did not arrive with a CD drive of any sort. Was it supposed to?

I noticed that the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 was all black, not at all like the other 1070's I have seen others receive. Was it supposed to be all black? (on that note I have researched and heard this is a cheaper model that Dell makes to save money. Which would make sense since I got it  during a sale period. And that would definitely *** me off.)

My power supply fan is currently not spinning when I turn it on. Is it supposed to be idle during use?

1. I noticed my desktop did not arrive with a CD drive of any sort. Was it supposed to?

2. I noticed that the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 was all black, not at all like the other 1070's I have seen others receive. Was it supposed to be all black? 3. My power supply fan is currently not spinning when I turn it on. Is it supposed to be idle during use?

1. I think Mike covered that. Others have missed it also. Tricky business ordering custom computers online these days it seems. I guess call Dell and either get parts or return whole PC.

2. Similar discussion is here: Sounds like it might be a MSI Aero 1070 or just a generic OEM card (pretty common over history).

3. Yes, I saw your other post. Not usually, but I didn't design or build your computer. You would think the PS fan would be working hard/fast since that small PS is likely being stressed quite a bit. Many have posted here about fans reving-strangely on Aurora R5 (especially those who opted for small power-supply), but I don't recall anyone saying one fan never turns at all.

Probably time to give Phone Support a call.

If you return it and decide to re-order ... get the optical drive. I also suggest the 850w PS and liquid-cooler. While a little more money, it will be a much nicer machine as a whole. OEM NVidia 1070 card should be fine (almost as nice as a 1080 but much cheaper).

The CD drive is optional. So it is a possibility you configured your computer without one.
