Charger - DC connector tip M17 xR4
I have an Alienware M17xR4 Service Tag: . As I'm disabled I sometimes end up yanking on the charger cable and have now killed three cables. The only broken component is the DC connector tip but I haven't got a specification for this or I would purchase several as spares and my husband could fix the chargers I have broken. Also the ones we do have are not right angled and should be as it is a laptop. Could someone send me a link or a specification please. I tried Alienware themselves but got nowhere. These are cheap parts but I can't seem to find the correct end tip. I think it's the same end tip as an R3

Hi nufab4,
Yes, unfortunately DELL doesn't sell the tip part alone, it comes with the AC adapter cord.

I know thhanks for that, just wondered if any user had id'd the specific connector - if i could get sizes and spec the chargers I've got could be repaired cheaply

The Connector is made for Dell its not something that is a user repairable part.
It has 3 or more Wires inside aka tiny center pin and LED.
