Blue screen on death!

Hello all!

I would love some help if you can.

I bought a alienware 17 R2 laptop some time ago. And to be honest i was never greatly happy with it. But any way.

Over the past year or so, ive been having a blue screen of death. Either on youtube or in games. I made sure every thing was up to date. Any way, i got the blue screen of death on a daily occurrence, but the quick restart seemed to of done the trick.

However now, i fear my laptop has died. This evening, during a gaming session, my laptop's screen pixalated / went fuzzy, then blue screened. At 5% (when the laptop is restarting) it made a heck of a noise and just turned off. Now it struggles to turn on.

If i unplug the power supply, it seems to turn on, though pixalates and blue screen's on desktop. I am not to sure what is causing this. Every time i turn it on, it just dies

I cant lie though, when buying the laptop new a few years back, it never felt like it was running properly. I thought it was perhaps how i had it setup (im such a noob with computers). I thought the laptop would be great for gaming, though i never had good FPS (Always below 30) and it always over heated within a few hours.

Any help or advice would be great. I would love to send it to dell, however ofource my warranty expired a few months ago

Cheers in advance <3

Hi notgoodwithtech‌,

If you had problems from the beginning, it would have been better if you had contacted us before.. At this point you can try some things like a power drain: unplug every external device from the system (including the ac adapter), open the system and unplug the battery cable (you can use this video as a reference, until the second 30), then hold the power button for around a minute so you can drain all the power out.

Also, please check if the AC Adapter light will stay on once you plug it into the system.
