Aurora-R5, Memory Configurations

Hello guys,

Is it possible to make memory configuration like that (2x8) 2400 MHz + (2x16) 2400 MHz (in total 48 GB)? i checked Aurora R5 setup and configuration, it says that Configurations supported 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.

i was curious that always the configuration should be the same like 2x16 or 4x8 or 4x16 or 2x8 ...???

Thanks

Im pretty sure at 2400mhz the Aurora only supports up to 16gb.

Goody489 is correct. We only validated 16GB of the Overclocked 2400MHz XMP Kingston Fury X memory. And we do not mix 2400MHz memory with 2133MHz memory.

Thanks for the support guys,

That's interesting, since Dell says about new Aurora "Boundaries Not Included" but unfortunately, everyday I learn a new limitation of  R5. Nowhere mentioned that it is up to supported 16 GB with 2400 MHz (maybe I am wrong).

So actually it is supporting 32, 48, 64 GB with 2133 MHz. It is good to know!!!

Is there any plan to further test 32gb 2400mhz memory?

We cannot know what engineering may or may not do in the future concerning 2400MHz memory maximum.

Hi guys, I am planning on replacing the currently installed RAM (2x8Gb @ 2133) for these Kingston Technology HyperX FURY Black 32 GB Kit 2133 MHz CL14 DIMM DDR4 Internal Memory (HX421C14FBK2/32). I am not interested on overclocking but more on the 2x16GB configuration for a total of 32GB. Could you confirm this is possible pls?

rcrwill,

Unfortunately, we cannot test a configuration that is not sold by us.

A user will simply have to test 32GB HyperX Fury and report back to us with results.
