Aurora R5 2nd HDD Problem

I just installed a second HDD in my 6 month old R5. It is a 1 TB 2.5" drive. I put it in the HDD2 slot, connected power(P5), and connected the SATA cable to the SATA3 connector on the motherboard. The new drive does not show up in the File Explorer. I've done a couple restarts and still nothing.

Any suggestions ? Is it possible that I need to enable SATA3 in the BIOS?

edit: I just checked the BIOS and the new drive appears there.

You should get it to appear in BIOS first.

Then, in Control Panel / Admin Tools / Storage

It will ask you to Initialize it and then you can create a Partition

Finally. it will show in Windows Explorer and you can Format it.

That did the trick, thank you.
