Alienware Aurora R6 + 960 EVO + Original 2TB Hard drive

I have an Alienware Aurora R6 with a 7700K & 1080Ti with the default 2TB hard drive and I have now ordered a 500gb Samsung EVO 960 nvme SSD to add to my system.

I understand there is some compatability issues with nvme ssd's and the inability to set them into AHCI mode but I would like to get further clarification regarding the setup/installation of my desired config. I would like to make the NVME SSD be the boot drive as well as contain all my programs while the hard drive would stay in the system and be used for storage of videos/pictures that I finished editing and moved from the ssd over to it.

In that case I would have the 500gb NVME SSD + 2TB hard drive in my system but I not 100% certain what my options are in order to make this work or how exactly to go about the set up. Will I need to changes the bios options to get this functionality?
