Alienware Aurora R4 - best GPU upgrade I can handle?
I have a rig built in 4/2013 and just bought an ASUS ROG PG348Q Ultra wide monitor.
Ideally, I would like to run games at max res (3440x1440) on ultra settings around 60 FPS or greater.
My current build is:
OS - Windows 10 64 bit
CPU - i7 3820 @ 3.6 Ghz
RAM - 32GB DDR3 @ 1866Mhz
Motherboard - Alienware 07JNH0
GPU - GTX 690
Storage - 512GB SSD
What is best graphics card upgrade my rig can handle?
I'm a CPU noob and need all the help I can get.
Thanks

Nice config. With Dell 875w PS, it will run a single NVidia-1080 no-problem.

Two and a half slot huh ... Cool.
If it doesn't fit in Aurora-R4, not sure what machine they expect it to work in. Just measure first.
Let us know if it works.

Thank you for your helpful and reassuring response, Tesla.
I was looking at the ZOTAC GTX 1080 AMP EXTREME 12.795” x 5.827 2.5 slot
The GTX 690 is 11" x 4.376" dual slot.
Do you think the ZOTAC will fit?
