Alienware 17X r3 graphics aren't working properly.

I have had this computer for a couple of years (2-3?), but for the past couple of months my graphics cards just stop working and start working randomly. They disappear in the device manger (I can see them if i press the show invisible option.) and this happening made my screen go from 1980x1080p to 1024x768p and none of my games will work. I updated to the latest version for my AMD graphics card (not my Intel because i couldn't find it.). So when I give up those days and get back on the next it goes back to normal.

Hi enderforeverbaka‌,

First try running an ePSA/Diagnostic test on the system, click here to view a Dell article that explains how to run this test. Let me know if you receive any errors.

Make sure the Bios is up to date.

Also, this your system has switchable graphics with AMD, so you can try by pressing Fn+F7.

Let me know!

I have done a diagnostic before posting this actually and the only error was the battery life.

To be honest i don't even know what bios are lol.

and it does have switchable graphics but that wasn't showing up, as well as my catalyst control, or my intel settings.

Check this: How to run a Bios update on an Alienware Computer | Dell US

Also, for the switchable graphics make sure you have the OSD driver installed here (For Windows 7).
