Alienware 17 Laptop 2016

Hello,

I just bought an Alienware 17 laptop, everything is working fine except my WIFI card. The thing is i can`t connect to a wireless network. I can see a list of Wifi networks but cannot connect to one. I`m not sure if there is a  problem with my router settings but i know there are several devices (5-6) connected to the routers wifi and all are working without a problem. I tested the Laptop`s Wifi with a phone (i turned on tethering), and it`s connecting to the phone`s wifi no problem.

I have the Killer Wifi 1535 card. I`m pretty sure it`s something with the laptops settings but i have no idea what.

I`d appreciate if someone could help me with this matter.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I tried my laptop on another router and it`s working flawlessly. It seems that my current router is indeed old. I`m going to buy a new one. Problem solved. Actually there was not any problem to begin with.

Anyway thanks again for quick help.

Hi,

It may be that the router is too old and doesn't have the right network infrastructure to work with that wireless card. Try another router or take the PC elsewhere. If it does connect, a router upgrade may be needed. (check if the router has 5.0Ghz network or 2.4Ghz only). 2.4Ghz only tend to have some issues with this wireless card.
