Alienware 15R3 display options confusing too much

As I checked on Dell website, Alienware 15R3 has 4K 60Hz IGZO IPS option and a 4K 60 Hz IPS "with NVIDIA G-Sync Technology." Is he later one different from the other option like the 1080p 120Hz TN-WVA and 1080p 60Hz IPS "with NVIDIA G-Sync enabled."?? I am confused with the phrase "w/ G-Sync technology." Any Alienware rep can explain for me?

Hi Alienware-Eimy,

I know that link. My question is why Dell listing the 1080p panel with 60

and 120Hz is "with G-Sync enabled," while the 4K is only "with G-Sync

technology." Does the 4K has G-Sync option, or not? as my friend is using

the 4K and does not see G-Sync setting any where. A NVIDIA tech rep we

talked to told us that the system only has Optimus, not G-Sync, so cannot

activate it...Does this means it only have G-Sync if we hook up to a G-Sync

capable external monitor??

You got it. That's exactly what it means.

Capable means that you can use it. Enable means that it has it built-in.
