Alienware 15r2: Plextor M8pe SSD
Greetings,
I am planning to buy the Alienware 15 r2 and in my current spec I have 1TB 7200rpm SATA 6gb/s. I am planning to buy and load a pcie SSD, so this is my choice Plextor 256GB M8PE(G) M.2 2280 NVME Solid State Drive
My questions are,
a) Is the above a PCIe SSD?
b) If the answer is yes to the above question then, have I chosen the right kind of pcie ssd compatible for my AW 15r2?
c) If there are other brand pcie ssds please give me your inputs(less expensive ones)
FYI I am currently located in Thailand.
Peace!

Thanks for taking your time to reply. Wow I am sure this list is going to help a lot of users. Also I had this question to ask you, may I know why havent you included Plextor brand in the above list? I see Plextor M8Pe GN (this the model without heatsink) has impressive benchmark scores recorded by guru3d.com

We do not offer that brand as part of our machines. The above list is based solely on drives that we put in our machines during the manufacturing process.
We are not saying that it wont work, but we haven't test it on our systems, so we can't confirm functionality.
