Alienware 13 R3 Suddenly Died

I was playing Overwatch when the screen suddenly became pixelated and the laptop shut itself down a few seconds later.

I rebooted it after leaving it to cool down, but the screen's dead and only half the keyboard's lighting up. I've tried pressing the function keys to get into BIOS/Recovery, but no luck.

There were no overheating messages displayed before the shutdown and the drivers/BIOS were all up to date. I've had the laptop for almost two months and up until this point I've never had any issues with it.

The specs are as follows;

- Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ

- 512GB PCIe NVMe

- 16GB (x2 8GB) 2667MHz RAM

- OLED Screen

- NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi SSR3‌,

Try a power drain: unplug every external device from the system, including the power cable. Then you need to open the system and unplug the battery cable (use this video as a reference and follow all the steps until sec 44). Then hold the power button for around one minute, to drain all the power out.
