xps 9300 with Ubuntu - notifications and videos cause screen to go blank for 2s
Screen goes blank when there's a video on a web page or I start up an app. Sometimes notifications (skype/discord) will trigger it. Goes blank for 2 seconds and comes back. Rather annoying for a high priced laptop.
I upgraded from 18.04 to 19.10 to 20.04 LTS. same problems. I also upgraded the bios this morning.

I think it has something to do with audio. anytime I get a ding or anything it goes blank for 2 seconds

My asus is half the price and has better speakers. This piece of garbage flashes a black screen anytime there's an audible noise from the computer. I've asked for a refund. Will never buy dell again.

Im not having this on mine. Sound and video are ok
But I'm getting Xorg dying at random and frequently which makes the laptop barely functional.
For a price over 2000 euro that's not a very good.. experience.
