XPS 8950 Ubuntu 22.04 Activate RTX 3060 ti

Has anyone tried running Ubuntu on the 8950 and actually got the NVidia Card running, it worked fine in Windows 11, I cannot get it to use anything other than the built in display port on the Intel UHD Port, The graphic card lights up on boot, then once the x desktop starts it turns off and is not visible.

I have wasted many nights upgrading drivers and reinstalling various versions of Ubuntu from scratch, I had it working once and then it failed to initialise on the next boot.

It is not the ned of the world, I just hate having a piece of dead hardware in the box that could be making my experience even better
