XPS 13 9300 - After reboot, 3.5mm jack doesn't detect inserted audio input

Hello Dell Support,

I recently upgraded the BIOS from v1.4 to v1.5. The 3.5mm jack already had an input in place connected to external speakers. When the update finished flashing the BIOS and rebooted, the Ubuntu operating system did not detect an already inserted audio input in the 3.5mm jack. I had to remove the mini-stereo input and plug it back in for the external speakers to work again.

This is a minor issue but is very annoying every time I have to reboot.

Thanks!

Thank you for these details. What is the version of the audio driver installed?

Can you see the terminal output now? I find Dell Support very frustrating where I am asked to post a snapshot of terminal into Google Drive and share it in order for Dell Support to see it.  If the ability to insert an image onto a post is available, all users including Dell Support staff should see it. Not this run around, do this and do that just to view a simple image.

From the terminal, the following audio drivers are installed.
