USB-C adapter for DisplayPort not detected Ubuntu 20.04, Inspiron 5515
Hi,
I recently bought an Inspiron 5515 and installed (first manjaro then) ubuntu 20.04. Here nothing happens when I plug in an USB-C to DisplayPort adapter, with the (DVI) cable to the monitor. (With the HDMI slot it works fine.) It seems like Ubuntu recognizes in general the USB 3.0 port but not it being USB-C or DisplayPort.
I updated my BIOS from 1.0.0 to 1.5.0 and nothing changed.
How do I get the USB-C/DisplayPort slot working?

Yes, it works with a USB-C adapter for DVI/HDMI/VGA (3 slots). Not sure whether the other adapter (to DP) was broken or whether that in general doesn't work.
