S2722DGM on linux

I have 2 computers running on Ubuntu 24.04

One has an intel integrated card, the other an nvidia RTX 4080.

There are both fully updated, latest available kernel and latest packages and drivers.

I have been using them together with a DELL monitor 23.5" without any issues.

I have also used them with another makers 32" screen without any issues as well.

I have just bought a S2722DGM and tried to use it using HDMI.

When plugging the HDMI cable, the screen will wake up but soon display the message:

No signal from your device.
Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse or wake it up.
If there is no display, press the monitor button again to select the correct
input source.

From the computer side, the HDMI connection does not appear to have been recognized at all.

The screen does not appear in the display manager, xrandr displays the HDMI port as disconnected, get-edid will not be able to fetch any data from the screen either.

There are no errors in the kernel or any other trace I could find.

How can I diagnose this issue ?

Thank you.

I do not see any Linux OS drivers on the S2722DGM Drivers & Downloads page. What was the specific Dell 23" model? Is there a Windows OS PC there to test the S2722DGM HDMI 1 and 2 in ports?
