Precision 3550, QCA6174 not compatible with Linux

I've been having on-going problems with my WiFi card (a Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174) on my Dell Precision 3550 workstation running Linux. The card intermittently drops its connection after waking from sleep. After many months of researching the problem it appears that the Qualcomm driver is buggy - at least that's the opinion of a few others with the same problem. One person suggested replacing the WiFi card with an Intel card.

Based on the above info, I went to linux-hardware.org and did a search for the Qualcomm card and it turned up no results for Ubuntu. Basically, this means that the card is not totally compatible with Linux even though there is a driver provided for it - Ath10K.

I then did a search on the Linux hardware site for all distros and my card doesn't show up on any of them. I ordered this computer with Ubuntu pre-installed. Why was this computer sold with a WiFi card not officially supported by Linux? This is completely unacceptable.

I realize my warranty has expired but I think Dell needs to make this right. I am requesting that Dell ship me a WiFi card that is fully compatible with Linux, at no cost to me. I suggest the Intel Wireless AX201 WLAN WiFi 802.11ax / Bluetooth 5.1 M.2 Card. According to the Linux hardware website (linux-hardware.org) this card is compatible with all Linux distros.

Please advise.
