inspiron 3250 lost harddrive want to install Linux mint
I have an older (2016) 3250 that came with windows 10. I had a complete lost of my harddrive. Is it possible to use a new hard drive and install Linux Mint to this PC. I tried installing life Mint using a bootable USB. Seems to be issues with Bios. Is it possible to reinstall my original Dell system using my service tag and then dual booting?

Hi
If/When you have a current working Windows 10 install then you could try and adjust/shrink the partition sizes using...
Paragon Partition Manager CE 17 (free to download and use for personal purposes).
Sometimes there is a clash with GPT/Secure Boot and Linux Mint, and changing a BIOS setting to AHCI mode may resolve that. Take a piccy of the settings in the BIOS before the changes just in case.

It is certainly worth a try.
