Inspiron 16 Plus 7640: Headset microphone detected, but not capturing any audio

Hello!

The microphone from my headset plugged in the jack port is not working in my Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 laptop. The codec is Realtek ALC3254.

The pavucontrol is able to show two Input Devices:

- Headphones Stereo Microphone: Should be my headset, but did not capture any audio. Something weird is that this Input Device is always being displayed there even when my headset is unplugged...

- Digital Microphone: the internal microphone, that is working.

The "Meteor Lake-P HD Audio Controller" in the Configuration just display three Profiles to choose: "Play Hifi quality Music", "Pro Audio" and "Off".

I tried to edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and load the 'options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi', but did not work.

I am using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS with the latest driver available (from HWE): 6.14.0-33-generic
