Fan noise on Precision 5480 under Linux?

Hello,

I am currently using Linux on a Dell Latitude 7480. Most of the time, when not doing anything intensive, the fan is completely silent (fan speed 0 RPM according to the sensors command).

I am contemplating buying a Dell Precision 5480 but am afraid that the more powerful CPU and heavier machine might make things different in terms of fan noise.

Question for Linux users of a Dell Precision 5480: is the fan also completely silent (0 RPM) most of the time, in practice?
