Drivers for XPS 15 with Linux
Dear all,
I recently ordered a Dell XPS 15 and I want to install Linux on it. However when I look in the drivers section of the Dell website I see a lot of support and drivers for XPS running on all versions of Windows, however I cannot seem to find any drivers for running on Linux? Does this mean that there is no Linux support or am I unlucky in finding what I want?
regards,
Carlos

Most things work out of the box and there are drivers available (not from Dell) for the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. In Ubuntu, for example, you can use Additional Drivers to install them.
I have an XPS 15 and the only thing I've ever had problems with was the touch keys, using Ubuntu 11.10.

Caluca,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Does this mean my laptop will run more efficiently on Windows?

But how can this be. I mean drivers get updated once in while. So how would one obtain the newest Linux drivers?

It means Dell does not offer drivers for this laptop. Linux drivers are never available unless the laptop came installed with Linux by Dell originally.
