Drivers for fingerprint reader Goodix 27c6:538d

Hello,

I bought a Dell laptop about a year ago with a fingerprint reader. At first, I noticed the fingerprint reader wasn't detected by Linux. I feared something was wrong with it, but, looking through forums, I gradually understood that it was a general problem for this reference and more generally with Goodix fingerprint readers on Dell laptops. I can see numerous user complaints about this, especially on this reference :

Can't Dell put pressure on Goodix to release the corresponding driver for Linux?

This is quite annoying. What can users do more to help Dell find a solution to the problem?
