Dell XPS 9370 Developer Edition - is any of currently available docks is 100% compatible with it?

As in title - what to buy with confidence that it will work without any hiccups? (Stock Ubuntu 16.04)

After some research I've ended with: http://www.dell.com/support/article/ly/en/lydhs1/sln301105/dell-thunderbolt-dock-tb16-information-and-specifications?lang=en

Additional 4k screen via display port, charging, wireless keyboard connected to the dock - all works out of the box.

Some research and practice shown, that security features for thunderbolt ports have to disabled in BIOS to get this setup to work. I've got mine off by default.

Looks like Dell TB16 does work without much hassle.

Hi gniewomir,

The recommended docks for the 9370 are the WD15 and TB16 docks, however neither of them are suitable for Ubuntu as we have very limited Linux support for peripherals. Looking at both docks there are no drivers available which prevents the docks from working correctly. If you did use either of the docks they would have very limited functionality.

I purchased the Elgato Thunderbolt 3 dock in hopes it would work with the 9370, but support is horrible.

I can't get charging to work from the dock and the USB ports do not work. I can get monitors to connect just fine from the displayport and usb-c ports though.

That's great to hear you have managed to get the dock working for you. Did you disable the three security features or just set your security level to No Security?
