Dell WD19TB Dock Won't Boot with Ubuntu 20.04/20.10
There seems to be an issue with Dell Docks and Ubuntu 20.04/20.10 during Boot. Likely there needs to be some firmware update to fix this.
I have the same issues on a TB16 (which I assumed was just not supported on Linux as it does not have a Linux Firmware Update) and WD19TB (this does have a Linux Firmware update and one would presume it should work properly with Ubuntu). Others are experiencing this problem:

Here is the UEFI BIOS Setup on my XPS 13 9365:
When the Dock is connected to the laptop and the laptop is open with no Devices attached to the Dock it hangs on the Dell logo with Ubuntu. The spinner, continues to spin forever.
When the Dock is connected to the laptop and the laptop is closed and powered via the Dock, it gets stuck on this Dell logo and then a black screen follows.
In both cases the laptop has to be force powered down. Powering on the Laptop without the Dock allows it to boot normally.
The Dock firmware is up to date:
The UEFI BIOS setup can be accessed when the Dock is attached and Windows 10 can boot.

I have a similar problem using fedora (32) on a latitude 7410.
booting connected to a WD19TB works as expected as long as no display is connected.
as soon as a display (DisplayPort) is connected to the dock, the boot process will stuck at different stages
(grub/dell logo/encryption)
when disconnecting the displays, the boot works as expected again.
(TB Security Level in BIOS is set to "No Security")
are there any known issues?
