Dell Inspiron 3593, Ubuntu - screen flickers

Hello,

I have a new laptop Dell Inspiron 3593, with preinstalled Linux Ubuntu. It has an important downside - the screen flickers quickly and it makes my eyes hurt after a short time of using it. I tried disabling EcoPower in BIOS, but it doesn't help (I suppose this problem occurs also in BIOS). Changing the display frequency in Ubuntu settings too. When I'm running display test (press D when turning on), all of the screen is in the same color, but it also flickers. How can I fix it? Is it software or hardware issue? I read in https://pclab.pl/art82332-4.html that laptop with similar model number has low PWM frequency of backlight - only 200 Hz. Is it possible to fix it by updating some software/firmware or changing settings, or only way is to open the case and solder a capacitor in parallel with LEDs?

"I suppose this problem occurs also in BIOS"
Boot into the BIOS and check.

Post a video when running the Laptop LCD BIST (Built-in Self Test) showing the flicker.

Your support is really unprofessional. It's obvious that I was in BIOS and screen test. Flickering with 200 Hz frequency is hard to see (it's visible sometimes only when I move my eyes or watch some film), but for some people it causes eyestrain and headache, so it's hard to say if the screen flickers right now or not. I've been using many different screens, but with most of them I didn't have such a problem. I checked it with camera, but there's also nothing visible - it depends on what device you're using. The right equipment for measuring it is rather an oscilloscope with i.e. photodiode. And I saw such an oscillogram on some professional PC testing site - one of your products with similar model number has been criticized for low PWM frequency.

I saw a solution for that problem described on many sites - it requires installing intel-gpu-tools and changing the register 0xC8254 with intel_reg command (or rather running a script which does it every few seconds, because if user changes brightness in that time, this reqister's value is restored to default). But even when I run sudo intel_reg read 0xC8254 it displays segmentation fault (disabling secure boot in BIOS doesn't help).

I have the same issue with my new dell inspiron 3593 after installing Windows 10 instead of Ubuntu. please advise if you find a solution for that issue.
