Automatically dim display when switching to battery power

Question

I've been using Ubuntu 18.10 on my Dell G3 for a few days and I notice the automatically dim display function when switching to battery power isn't working even though with tlp and laptop-mode-tools packages installed. Does anyone know how to fix it?
