18 Area-51 AA18250, dual boot Windows 11 and not supported Ubuntu 20.04
Hello,
I'm trying to partition my 18 Area-51 AA18250 to dual boot with not supported Ubuntu. However, as also reported here https://www.justanswer.com/laptop/lrhm6-trying-dual-boot-ubuntu-dell-alienware-laptop.html, when I disable Secure Boot and change storage settings to AHCI, Windows no longer boots.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue or can recommend a guide that explains the proper procedure?
Thank you

Hi
Sometimes you need to have a W10 install media and have it REPAIR the boot mechanism.
I don't usually disable secure boot, but I run a slightly different linux, MINT.
https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-ubuntu-desktop#1-overview
https://linuxmint.com/documentation.php
If you enable Secure Boot and create a Linux Mint (Ubuntu should be the same) it boots to a LIVE environment. It does not install, until you choose to, and you can test whether the Wi-Fi, Audio, Graphics etc work.
If in doubt please ask.
