Which operating system is the best for Latitude E6410 and E6420?
I got both E6410 and E6420. Each laptop has no operating system installed. Which operating system is the best for E6410 and E6420? The idea is to get all functions from the operating system to the laptop so that each laptop completely functions by the operating system.
Specs for E6410: i5 560m, 4GB Ram, no drive (looking for operating system suggestions), Nvidia NVS 3100m
Specs for E6420: i7 2620m, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD, Intel HD 3000 and Nvidia NVS 4200m
Specs for E6420 (I have another one): i7 2640m, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD, Intel HD 3000 and Nvidia NVS 4200m (specs would be the same, except the CPU)

Yes, Windows 10 would work unofficially on those systems. Unfortunately, Win 10 license may be required, yet short live as the support will end in few months.

Yes, those were tested and validated operating system that Dell provided support drivers and firmware for.

I owned an E6420, and I personally went with linux, since windows support is somewhat slim, and slow at that. My personal preference was Debian/Arch.

Coming back to this conversation, I forgot to say that I have Windows 7 installed on both the E6410 and E6420 (2x). I was wondering if these models can upgrade its Windows operating system.

Coming back again, I have questions: Any upgrade info for E6410 and E6420 upgrading to Windows 10? Will every device work on E6410 and E6420 upgraded to Windows 10?

@Joes97667 Seemed so. I believe you can download related drivers if devices aren't properly recognized from Dell's website
