Warranty Support Request – Dell Latitude 5520

Dear Dell Support Team,

I hope you are well.

I am facing an issue with my laptop (Dell Latitude 5520). The laptop is not displaying anything and is showing a blinking LED error code (1 Amber + 6 White). The system is not starting.

My laptop is currently under warranty, and I would like to request a warranty service or replacement

Kindly resolve my laptop issue as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards
Deepak

That is an EC (embedded controller) error.

I doubt this system is under warranty, as it's a 2021 model but you can check the warranty status at dell.com/support using the service tag (go into setup -- F2 at powerup -- to retrieve that).

Otherwise, you can contact out of warranty support for a repair estimate.  Before doing so, unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the mainboard and hold the power button for 30 sec.  Reconnect the battery, replace the base cover and power up the system (it may take a couple of powerup cycles to completely start up -- this is entirely normal).  If that doesn't solve the issue, the mainboard will need replacement.

Contact Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support Monday through Friday. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offerings.
