Until when was hardware ssd encrytion supported by the latitudes?

I have a latitude 7310 which obiously does not support any more ssd hardware encrytion. Or at least I could not find any option in the bios to set a password for the ssd.

My old latitude 7240 supported this feature.

Question: until which generation was ssd encrytion supported? 7300, 7390, 7380, ... ?

I need this feature for Windows and Linux dual boot. I found it difficult to setup windows with bitlocker and ubuntu with LUKS on one SSD. So I want back the hardware encrytion and think about a dowgrade of the notebook to an older one - but only if I can be sure that it works. Also an upgrade to a newer one is an option if the feature was added again.
