Hello,
It's common for the "product specifications" you're seeing for Dell Latitude laptops, even for the same model like the 7430, to look very different. This is because what you've provided isn't a typical "spec sheet" in the way a consumer would usually see it (e.g., CPU type, RAM size, storage capacity).
Instead, what you have are Bill of Material (BOM) excerpts or internal component lists. These lists detail the individual parts and services that go into building a specific configuration of a Dell Latitude 7430.
Here's why they look so different and what some of the differences indicate:
Key Differences and What They Mean:
Level of Detail:
The 1st laptop's list (starting with "XNNG9") appears to be a more granular list of physical hardware components and some associated software/drivers. You can see specific part numbers for things like:
"ASSY,CVR,LCD,TCH,SILVER,7430" (LCD cover assembly, touch, silver)
"ASSY,CMRA,FHD,RGB,USB2,2MIC,FF" (Full HD camera assembly)
"BTRY,PRI,54WHR,4C,LITH,BYD" (54 Whr battery)
"MOD,INFO,ONBOARD,MEM,16G" (Indicates 16GB of onboard memory)
"MOD,SW,W10,EDITION,HOME" (Windows 10 Home software module)
The 2nd laptop's list (starting with "817-BBBB") seems to focus more on software, services, and high-level configuration options. You see entries like:
"Dell Applications for Windows 11"
"Activate Your Microsoft 365 For A 30 Day Trial"
"No Anti-Virus Software"
"Windows 11 Pro, English, French, Spanish"
"ME Disable Manageability" (Referring to Intel Management Engine features)
Operating System:
1st LapPYC0K : MOD,SW,W10,EDITION,HOME" which means Windows 10 Home.
2nd Lap619-AQLP : Windows 11 Pro, English, French, Spanish" which means Windows 11 Pro. This is a significant difference right there.
Memory Indication:
1st LapWW8CD : MOD,INFO,ONBOARD,MEM,16G" and "NY640 : Module,Information,ENBL-RDNT 8GB" (this last one is a bit ambiguous, but often "ENBL-RDNT" might refer to enabled/redundant and the 8GB could be related to a base configuration or an additional 8GB on top of the 16G, making it 24GB or something similar depending on how Dell configures it). The "16G" is a clearer indication of installed memory.
2nd Lapmargin: 0;">1st LapVNRHT : MOD-SRV,NTWK,AX2X1,7430,RPL" with drivers for "INTEL,AX2X1,BT,7430" and "INTEL,AX2X1,WIFI,7430". This indicates an Intel AX210 (Wi-Fi 6E) card.
2nd Lapt explicitly show the wireless card or its drivers in the provided portion.
Pre-installed Software/Services:
The 2nd laptop has a much more extensive list of pre-installed Dell applications, trial software (Microsoft 365), and specific settings like "No Anti-Virus Software" and "ME Disable Manageability." This suggests it's a configuration designed for a particular deployment, possibly a business environment.
Fingerprint Reader:
1st LapW922Y : MOD,SWT,PB,FP,TITAN,7430 RPL" indicates a fingerprint reader module.
2nd Lapre both Dell Latitude 7430?
Dell, like many large PC manufacturers, offers a vast array of configuration options for their business-grade laptops. The "Dell Latitude 7430" is the base model identifier, but within that model, there can be:
Different Display Options: FHD (Full HD), FHD+ (higher resolution or different aspect), Touch, Non-Touch, etc. (1st laptop shows FHD+, touch)
Different Processor Options: While not shown directly here, there would be various Intel Core i5/i7 options.
Different RAM Configurations: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, etc., and whether it's soldered or upgradable.
Different Storage Options: Various SSD sizes and types.
Different Wireless Cards: Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, LTE capability.
Different Battery Sizes: As seen (54Whr in 1st laptop).
Different Software Bundles: Operating System (Windows 10 Home/Pro, Windows 11 Home/Pro), pre-installed Dell utilities, security software, Microsoft Office trials, etc.
Regional Variations: Sometimes part numbers and descriptions can vary slightly based on the region of sale due to localization or specific regulatory requirements.
Build-to-Order (BTO) Configurations: Many Dell business laptops are ordered by companies with very specific requirements, leading to unique BOMs.
In summary:
You're looking at two different custom configurations of the Dell Latitude 7430. The primary differences visible in these snippets are:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home vs. Windows 11 Pro
Level of Detail in Listing: One focuses more on hardware components, the other on software/services.
Specific Hardware Features: The first one explicitly mentions a touch screen, 16GB RAM, and a fingerprint reader (which the second one doesn't in the provided text).
Pre-loaded Software: The second one has a much more extensive list of pre-installed applications and settings.
To get a complete picture of any specific Dell Latitude 7430, you'd ideally want to see the full, summarized specification sheet that Dell provides for a given Service Tag (if you have one), or the official marketing specifications that list the range of options available for the model. What you have here is akin to looking at the ingredient list of two different recipes using the same base flour – the end products can be quite distinct!
Best Regards
