New Latitude 5530 makes horrible buzzing sound w/ Acer monitor whenever I make a display change.

I just got a Latitude 5530 to replace a Latitude 5420. I run a 2 monitor setup with one of the monitors being an Acer XV272U V3. Whenever my display changes (I change refresh rate, or I'm switching which computer the displays are connected to), the Acer emits a loud buzzing sound. The sound goes away if I turn the monitor or the laptop off and back on. (For what it's worth, my other monitor is a ViewSonic.)

The buzzing is new to this laptop. It didn't happen with my old Dell laptop, or my gaming rig, which is also connected to the monitors.

The laptop has Intel Iris Xe graphics, with the latest Dell drivers. I also installed the Monitor driver off of the Acer website. Neither fixed the problem.

Also, because I have an older dock, which doesn't have the bandwidth for a 2K monitor, the Acer is plugged into the laptop's HDMI port. The Viewsonic whis is a regular HD monitor's plugged into the dock.

Change the refresh rate on the Acer monitor to see if that will resolve the noise issue?

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Changing the refresh rate on the monitor guarantees that the buzzing will start. Changing it back doesn't make it go away, unfortunately.  :(
