Latitude 7490: connecting P2425HE monitor with USB-C
When I try connecting the monitor to my laptop, windows 10 notifies “Display connection might be limited” and it doesn’t work. Only Ethernet connection and USB devices (mouse and keyboard) work. Dell P2425HE monitor USB Type-C upstream port supports USB power delivery, data and DisplayPort video signal. The super speed USB 5 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen1) Type-C port supports Alternate Mode DP1.4. Regarding the USB Type-C port on the latitude 7490, it is stated in the specs that it supports DisplayPort over USB Type-C. Any suggestions for fixing this apparent incompatibility?

* Open the online P2425HE User's Guide here.
* Go to page 76
* Check your P2425HE Menu- Display- USB-C Prioritization
* Is it set to High Resolution?
