No light on the on button

Could just be the power button but how do you test that?

Click here for troubleshooting and resolving a no boot laptop.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@tim753m Thanks, I persevered and found a solution
Unable to check the pins on the button as its on the underside of the board.
The CMOS battery was at 2.8 volts so i changed it to a new one (should have been ok)
Whilst removed I did a reset holding the power button for 60 secs and when i reconnected the batteries I noticed the power LED was lit
CMOS had reset so saved the new settings and it went back to being a dead laptop
I repeated what I did twice and finally managed to POST and boot to M.2
I updated the BIOS and its been behaving since then thanks
