My left side usb c port just died.

If "died" means the other one works OK but that one doesn't, the only option is a replacement system board.
Just the part will cost about what the system is worth at this point, so consider replacing rather than repairing the system.

Well the best way to fix this issue is by replacing the port with the new one.
