Latitude 5290 2-in-1, battery issue

I have a Dell 5290

I purchased it refurbished from a reputable computer store.

Recently it stopped turning on, the charging cable etc is not damaged it lights up

Laptop light comes on flashes off

I took battery out and tried again

Nothing

I've tried everything stated on dell forums

I then charged it with battery out and it worked. I let it charge up. No issues

Next time I go to use it, nothing.

I'm assuming battery has died? Just wanting clarification if I'm just better off getting something else rather than repairing

It does sound like the battery is not holding a charge and needs to be replaced.

The Latitude 5290 2-in-1 should still power up when the battery is removed and the AC power adapter is plugged in. Are you saying that this is not happening?

@DELL-ChrisM2

Should've worded a bit better didn't want to rant on

The last time I had it on, battery was out and power connected it worked. I put battery back in and it charged and turned on.

Went to use it again, no power. Unless I remove battery and turn it on.. which is a pain
