Help with Mass Storage Controller driver missing.

Hi,
I hope someone will read this wordy description of my PC problem.
I have a Latitude E5620 PC with Windows 10 64-bit H22H2 OS.  I opened Control Panel>Devices and Printers, saw the PC icon with a yellow triangle with a ! on it, and when I ran the Troubleshooter, the result shows Mass Storage Controller doesn't have a driver. When opening the Device Manager as Administrator, The Mass Storage Controller is listed under Other Devices. I tried to update the driver hoping I could install it, but I saw: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)There are no compatible drivers for this device. The driver wasn't listed when I tried to update it. I also tried scanning for hardware changes with no luck.

I couldn't find a download for a Mass Storage Controller on the Dell website. When I tried to run the Dell Support Assist program as Administrator, it kept crashing.

I opened the BIOS screen at restart, and saw the setting "SATA Operating Mode" and it was disabled. (Image of BIOS screen shown.)

This might relate to the problem of no Mass Storage Controller driver, but seeing online that this means, "Storage Drives will be invisible.  Enabling it can prevent my laptop from starting. What can I do?  I'd be very grateful for someone's help.
