Fan on my e7450 stopped working after thermal paste change.
Hello, everyone. As the title says, the fan on my latitude e7450 with an i7 5600u and 16 gb of ddr3l stopped working after I changed the thermal paste. During the whole ordeal, the fan did come unplugged but I plugged it back in but it wont work while the laptop is on. I am running arch Linux (btw) so I don't know if its a new driver issue or what. Also, important thing to note, when I turn off the laptop using the power button the fan spins up for a second before turning off which means it work fine but it just wont spin. So if anyone has a solution, thank you in advance.

The fan will only operate once a temperature setpoint is reached. Does the fan pass the diagnostics? F12 at powerup to access those.
If not, did you have the battery disconnected while working inside the system?

Your computer is overheating or shutting down? The fan sound very loud? You ran Dell Off-line Diagnostic to check the fan and the other Hardware within the computer? If no,
1. Power on computer, start tapping F12 key continuously until you see Dell One Time Boot Menu
2. In the menu, select Quick Tests to check all hardware within computer.
3. After quick test, look for the advance test, check the Thorough mode box, and then Fan. Report back any error code.
