Dell Latitude E6520 loose screen hinge

So i wanted to replace the screen on my Dell and now after everything is screwed in the screen is really loose. I have now tried installing the old screen again if maybe the current one is thicker but same thing is happening. I don't really know how to describe it so i uploaded an video here.

Hi

My opinion is the screw is "moving" and therefore not tight enough.

A shim/padding would be my suggestion or a washer initially.

As @ejn63 states it is tricky to tell from the video(s).

It sounds like the hinge (s) needs/need to be replaced.

Are you sure? At around 7 seconds on this new video you can see the display moving freely without moving the hinges. This is my problem.

For some reason the video didn't upload at the previous reply so here it is.

Another video with screen removed so you can see what is going on

That would mean the hinge mounts (back cover) are the issue.  How much money you want to throw at a system with a total value of under $50 is a question only you can answer, but there is a plentiful supply of working used systems for that -- and plenty of parts available (try EBay for both).

Probably at least those, yes -- only you have the system in front of you, so check for other broken parts before ordering.

@ejn63 Is this part supposed to be moving like that? If not do I put some glue under there? I have gotten the hinge out on the other side and it doesn't seem like anything is broken.

I can't tell much from the video -- it looks like the hinge is bound up.  Can you close the hinge manually?

With the previous video I wanted to ask if this

part is supposed to be moving when I try moving the hinge with my finger. I have screwed that screw as much as I can but I think there was previously also something else like glue holding it down. Here is another video that hopefully explains more.

Y:ou can solve the entire problem by replacing the back cover with hinges for $10.

@ejn63 Shipping costs 50€ there. I will probably just get one off eBay but before buying it I want to try other things that could fix it.
